Jessica West is a registered nurse and licensed CPR instructor with the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada. She has been teaching CPR and first aid with the HSF since 2015 and has provided over 2000 Montrealers with valuable life-saving skills.
Jessica studied nursing at Dawson college and went on to acquire a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Victoria. She trained in emergency nursing at the Montreal General Hospital's trauma centre and received her post-graduate training in the birthing centre at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal. She also served in community health nursing with the CLSC.
In 2015, Jessica co-founded Birds and Bees Prenatal Classes, offering prenatal education to countless expecting families. She is dedicated to equipping new parents with the skills and confidence to respond if faced with a life threatening emergency.
Since 2021, Jessica has been working in education, fostering her love for health promotion as well as teaching. She continues to expand her knowledge and is committed to teaching as many people as possible - how to save a life.
Jessica lives in Montreal and has 2 beautiful children with her husband.
